Texture

 

Texture is my favorite element when decorating. I tend to shy away from colors(ugh, I’m working on it), so, texture is what brings interest in our home.  An accent table holds this textured feather made of metal and a marble base.  Mostly, I’m loving this faux animal skin rug not only for its coloring and softness, but, that it pulls the space together.

I am absolutely obsessed with these white leather chairs I found at HomeGoods. The shape is so unique and the base is metallic gold, which is the accent I use throughout our home. This burnt orange throw is perfect for fall and brings a sense of coziness to the cold look of white leather. Throws and accent pillows are another way I incorporate color into my home – fitting all the seasons here in PA!  This white iron floor lamp behind the chair creates a space for reading and relaxing.  The mirror between the windows JUST fits – lucky me, I’m loving all the accents of white.

I love this area of our living room.  The floor to ceiling windows bring in so much natural light, which is perfect for photographing.
