November Mood

Anyone else getting that holiday itch?  I’m ready to go full force into decorating mode.  Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year, like, significantly more than the average person.  But, I can’t quite decorate at the moment because…WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!  Yep, after a year of searching far and wide, we’ve found the one.  Our first house!  We close tomorrow morning and I can’t wait to share all of my renovation plans with you.  Oh, did I mention it’s a fixer upper?  The house is straight up 70’s contemporary and we’re about to flip this baby into a modern dream.  We’re working with great bones, however, we’ve got a lot of updating to do.  Starting by gutting the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, installing new floors, resurfacing the fireplace and vaulted ceiling – the whole shebang.  You could say it’s a little overwhelming, but I’ve never been more ready for a project in my entire life!  I’ll be creating a renovation series here on the blog to share inspiration, design plans, and before + afters!  Ryan and I couldn’t be more excited to get in there and make this place our home.  And, of course, Cruz is about to run wild in his backyard.  Stay tuned for our big adventure! xo
